Everyone has a great story to tell; I want to make sure it’s presented with clarity and flair.
My educational background lies in film, specifically editing; I studied at Emerson College in Boston. UX appeals to me as a career shift due to the skills I am able to carry over with me - a knack for conveying information visually and keeping the audience/user in mind are both key tools in my arsenal that are effective in either field.
My recent academic pursuits are helping in this transition: I recently graduated with an MS in Library and Information Science program from Simmons University, which has given me a strong foundation in information architecture and social research. I also participated in the UX Design Immersive program at General Assembly, where I supplemented my research skills with a more holistic, design-oriented approach.
I find it immensely satisfying when a team from varying walks of life and disciplines comes together to create something greater than the sum of its parts.
When I'm not designing, you can usually find me catching a movie, playing video games or going to rock concerts - from the arena to the avant-garde.
